Art Scoring System
EXPERIENCE POINTS (XP)
When your monster is included in any artwork, they receive experience points!
XP is earned regardless of who created the artwork- so long as your monster is recognizable, they earn EXP.
A link to your monster MUST be included in the artist comments of the deviation in order for them to earn XP - this is so that we can confirm that it is an official existing monster.
All monsters must have an IMPORT in order to earn XP.
Earning XP unlocks your monsters breeding slots and allows them to equip items and familiars.
XP is bound to the monster featured in the artwork and cannot be transferred to other monsters.
General Artwork Rules
♦ In the artist comments of your artwork, include a link to the imports of any monsters featured.
All imports must be linked for confirming points!
♦ Randomly created / unofficial monsters are not allowed - if you need some npcs in your piece, please use a foundation monster or a mascot npc
♦ All artwork should be to your gallery standard - its fine to try new things and experiment, but we won't accept stick figures or literature that's just song lyrics!
--- Any art that seems to be a LOT lower than normal will either be asked for corrections, or may receive half or no points!
✘ Point farming (and prize farming) is not allowed --- examples >>HERE<<
Point farming occurs when multiple pieces of art appear to be extremely similar, to the point where it looks like the arts been copy + pasted.
✘ "Placeholder" submissions for any activities or events are not allowed!
Submissions that clearly do not follow the event / activity guidelines will be denied and not sent to corrections.
♦ Original Bases are allowed for general artwork --- examples >>HERE<<
Creating bases for page dolls or icons, or something similar, is allowed, however all uses of the base will receive half points (count total xp, then divide by 2)
Bases may only be used for general XP, not activities or events
♦ Activity and Event artwork must all be unique - linearts and backgrounds cannot be re-used
Sequential art backgrounds are allowed for a max of 3 submissions- after this, all backgrounds should be in a different setting.
♦ XP Sheets are allowed, however Activities and Events should be submitted as their own deviation, as the deviation will only be rolled for rewards once!
--- A max of 10 poses are allowed per XP sheet
--- If there are multiple pieces of art on an XP sheet, and they share the same background, the background will only count once.
> XP Sheet example <
♦ Photos cannot be used as a background in illustrations
Texture "stamp" brushes are allowed so long as they are not the only thing making up the background.

SCORING YOUR POINTS
Use the guide below to score your artwork!
" Artwork " refers to Illustrations, Literature, or Crafts
ILLUSTRATIONS
Illustrations must be 300 x 300px or larger to receive full points. Anything smaller will receive half points.
--- Monster must be 150 x 150px at minimum with a background around most of it!
Minimal size = Headshot - Extreme close ups will not earn points.
Silhouette artwork or poses where you cannot tell what the creature is will also not earn any points.
For illustrations, the monsters colouring and markings do not have to match 100%, so long as we can tell who the monster is, the art should pass! That being said, missing markings, completely incorrect markings, and incorrect physical traits will not pass.
> some examples for colour and marking matching <
** Humanoid / Anthro versions of your monsters will NOT receive any XP Points unless your monster has those forms unlocked***
Illustrations should be fairly clean - messy art (colouring outside the lineart, for example) will not pass
